Here is a cool video of Sheriff, a Lacey and Trout son, that is training with Puppy Jake. Sheriff is currently working on turning on light switches on command. This will help his patient in case they can not reach a light or when the patient is laying in bed and needs to see. We are very excited to see such intelligence and problem solving thinking in our dogs.

RidgeView Batter Up, "Slugger", is taking Louisiana by storm. Slugger is out of Reese and Stitch. Slugger went to Southern Diabetic Retrievers and has been going through service dog training to become an autistic assistance dog. Slugger helps his patient stay calm, guidance through crowds and public, and comfort during extreme stress and episodes. Slugger's great personality and deposition have lead to him being a perfect match and we could not be more proud of how amazing he is doing with his training. Slugger is on schedule to graduate from the program in January of 2018. Slugger is also going to be a part of RidgeView's breeding program and Southern Diabetic Retrievers breeding program upon graduation. We are looking forward to continuing on this great line. Good job Slugger! Also pictured is Cody, the founder of Southern Diabetic Retrievers. To connect with this organization or learn more please visit their website: www.southerndiabeticretrievers.org
Retrieving Freedom Inc. of Waverly, Iowa has welcomed "Rascal" as part of their training program for service dogs to help veterans and PTSD patients. Rascal has shown promising traits to becoming a great service dog. Rascal is loved by everyone he meets and is a happy attitude kind of guy. We are very happy to see our dogs go out and change so many lives! After Rascal graduates from the program we are able to use him as a stud dog as part of RidgeView's breeding program and Retrieving Freedom's breeding program. We are looking forward to this little guy's bright future!
The Southern Diabetic Retrievers from Louisiana have been hard at work with Liea (an April and Olaf daughter) and Comet (an Oliver and Silky daughter). They explored the Aquarium of the Americans in New Orleans. These two will become Diabetic Alert Dogs from children. This is another wonderful organization that we have the privilege of working with, thanks Cody for letting us be a part of this. Yours Truly,
